Discover Your Wings

Good morning my lovely crafty friends.

Today I'm here with my usual Monday Morning Inspiration for

And this week I have a little piece of
Home Decor to share with you - using some beautiful elegant stamps by Taylored Expressions

I started by painting an MDF heart using two gorgeous Chalk Paint colours by Viva Decor - Revive and Vintage - Just tore across a piece of paper and masked off one half then painted with one colour and then flipped the paper over and painted the other half with another colour.

When the paint was dry I added some Crackle Medium over the top and when that was dry I stamped the images and sentiment using Ranger Black Archival Ink.

I also stamped one of the large butterflies onto patterned paper and adhered along the body and added   that on top of a stamped butterfly on the MDF heart - lifting the wings for some dimension.

Here's a link to all of the gorgeous DtDF stash I used:

Hope you had a lovely weekend.
Here's to a fabulous crafty week.

Flutterby Butterflies for DtDF

Good morning my lovely crafty friends.

I'm here with a little Monday Morning Inspiration using probably my most favourite-ist  crafty theme of Flutterby Butterflies :) as my DT project for

For today's piece I went down the 'Arty' route and had a play with creating a colourful inky background for my gorgeous MFT B butterflies to flutter out of
I created the background using my Spectrum Noir Sparkle pens - I simply scribbled different colours onto a clear plastic bag - a cello card bag would be perfect - then I spritzed with some water and then pressed my white card onto the plastic bag to pick up the ink.

When it was dry I positioned the Butterfly Dies where |I wanted them and then die cut. Then I over-stamped the butterfly die cuts with the co-ordinating stamp - using Archival Black Ink.

I adhered the die cut inky background  onto a base card and then after shaping the butterfly wings I adhered them back into the die cut background - just putting the adhesive along the centre of the body so that the wings could be lifted and it looks like they are fluttering out of the background.

Finishing with one of the co-ordinating Sentiment Stamps.

And here are the links to the gorgeous MFT stamps and dies:

Hello Cherished Friend for DTDF

Good morning my lovely crafty friends.
Hope you had a wonderful weekend and are ready for a fabulous week ahead.

Today I have a little inky background inspiration for you using some gorgeous new MFT stash from

Here's how I created my inky background:

I started by inking through a stencil using Versamark and then heat embossed with White embossing powder. Then I 'squidged' some Distress Ink - Picked Raspberry, Peacock Feathers and Scattered Straw onto my glass mat - keeping them separate from eachother, spritzed some water and then picked up each colour separately using some acetate and then pressed onto the embossed panel, building up the colours as you go.

For the flowers I inked the background card with the same colours but in the 'traditional' way of spritzing the colours on the glass mat and swooshing the card onto it - then flicking water with my fingers before stamping the flowers with Archival Black ink.

Card Ingredients:

Distress Ink Colours: Picked Raspberry, Peacock Feathers and Scattered Straw
'Cherished Friend' Sentiment - Kaisercraft Friendship Sentiments
Creative Expressions 'Delicate' Mask

Thanks for popping by.
Have a fabulous day.

With Love at In the Pink

Good morning my lovely crafty friends.

Oops it seems to be another little while since I last posted and also had the chance to pop round to see you all but still so busy and loving every minute of it - especially the little road trip I had with some of my lovely DT buddies to Thetford at the weekend to help out on the Dies to Die For stand - will share a photo at the end of this post.

But the real reason I'm here is to share my DT inspiration for the new challenge over at

IN THE PINK

this time we have a fabulous theme:

WITH LOVE

and that gave me the perfect opportunity to play with some gorgeous new goodies I bought at the weekend:
So I started by spritzing some Worn Lipstick and Picked Raspberry Distress Inks with a spritzer I made myself from Inka Gold in Magneta and water - what the photo doesn't pick up is the gorgeous pearly sparkle this gives. Then I smooshed it onto a piece of good quality white card to create my inky background.

I die cut the gorgeous Die-Namics Abstract Heart - from DTDF in white and also in pink glitter card and then inlaid the pink glitter pieces - it did take some time - but I think it was worth it :o)
Then I drew around the outline of the die onto black card and fussy cut it to create a narrow border.

Other items used:

Design Paper - MFT Hearts and Stripes

Our sponsor this time is

offering 1 lucky winner $12 to spend in their online store.

Please pop over to the main challenge blog to check out the gorgeous inspiration from my DT buddies.

So before I go here's a fabulous photo of my lovely DT buddies at the DTDF stand at the weekend - what a brilliant day we had:

So on the front row from left to right we have the gorgeous Tracy, Kat, me, Annette and Squirrel and of course the beautiful Faye and Sue at the back.
And remember - what happens on tour stays on tour :o)

Thanks for popping by.
Have a fabulous day.
