The Gift of Family

Good afternoon my lovely crafty friends.

Hope you are having a good weekend.

I've been busy getting some magazine work completed but also having fun making a special gift for my DiL Rowena - who's birthday is on Wednesday so I thought I would pop by and share it with you.

It's safe to post it here as I know the kids don't go on my blog - but I'll wait to post it on FB as they do look there :o)

I also wanted to share what I bought at the NEC on Thursday - what a totally fabulous day I had with the lovely Sue and Kat - we arrived just as they opened and left not long before they were closing - a  long day but loved every minute of it.

So first here is the 'Family' themed printer's tray gift I have made for Rowena - all the photos are from their wedding last September
I loved putting this together and I hope she likes it.

My main focus when shopping at the NEC this time was for items for my Home Decor makes.

First up a few stamps from Inkylicious - I love their sentiment stamps

Then a few stencils

A couple of dies

Some necessary inks, gilding waxes, sprays and paints

And lastly a few essentials

Unfortunately what no-one seemed to be selling was some extra hours in the day to play with all this gorgeous stash - hopefully I will find some time this week to have a good play though as we will be away after Easter for a few days visiting my brothers and sister.

Thanks for popping by.
Enjoy the rest of the weekend.

Spring Flowers at In the Pink

Good morning my lovely crafty friends.

Hopefully Mr Blogger has played nicely and published this post for me as I am currently en route to pick up my lovely crafty friends Kat and Sue and then make our way to The NEC for a day of crafty fun and shopping - yippppeee!!!!

So I'm here to share my DT make for the new challenge over at

and this time our theme is

SPRING FLOWERS

Now I'm not too sure if my flowers are Spring-like but I did love how this card turned out :o)
And here's what I did:

I started by 'dabbing' some Worn Lipstick and Spun Sugar Distress Paint Dabbers onto my non-stick craft mat and then spritzed with water before 'swooshing' onto some white card - love this background effect.
Then I stamped the gorgeous Honey Doo Crafts 'Butterflies and Flowers' larger corner stamp using Black Archival Ink. I also stamped and heat embossed the fabulous Inkylicious sentiment.
Some simple mat and layering onto some black card and then a white square card base and a few adhesive pink gemstones to finish it off.

Please pop over to the main challenge blog to check out the gorgeous floral inspiration from my lovely DT buddies - you won't be disappointed.

Our wonderful sponsor this time is:

offering 1 lucky winner a scrummy goody bag of trimmings from their online store.

Thanks for popping by and for all your continued support.

Love Is.........................

Good morning my lovely crafty friends.
Hope you had a wonderful weekend.

For me it involved a semi-successful shopping trip - and a scrummy lunch date with my DH on Saturday and then a lovely early morning walk and breakfast yesterday morning followed by another fun walk along the canal path with Aaron, Kerry and my squidgilicious Grandson Oliver - will share some photos at the end of this post.

But first I thought I would pop by with another piece of Home Decor I made recently - only this one is definitely staying at my house - in fact it is already up on the wall :o)
I have wanted to make one of these 'printer tray' collages for such long time and when The Hobby House brought out a kit and also the printer's tray as a separate item I couldn't wait to get my order in.

I know that I could have gone to town with the decorating and embellishing but I'm beginning to think I am more of a CAS design sort of girl and for me I didn't want to go 'over the top' - this is just about enough for my personal taste.

I love (pardon the pun) the effect that inking over the 'love' and 'love definition' rub on had - it was a very pleasant surprise.

So as promised here are a few of my favourite photos from the

Thanks for popping by - it is always lovely to see you.

Have a fabulous day.

Home Sweet Home

Good afternoon my lovely crafty friends.
Hope you've had a good week and are ready for a fabulous weekend.

I'm looking forward to a spot of retail therapy tomorrow with my DH down at Cribbs Causeway and hopefully I will be treated to some scummy lunch somewhere :o)

Today I thought I would pop by with a mini MDF Pallet Art plaque I made earlier this week
So here's what I did:

I started with the mini 8"x8" Pallet Art from Stamps Away and painted it using Americana Chalk Paint in Primitive and when that dried I added a coat of Crackle Medium and left that to dry then added a coat of Americana Chalk Paint in Lace. Before that coat dried I gently rubbed some away for a more distressed look.

Then I blended some Pumice Stone Distress Ink through a flourish stencil in each corner before adding some Sparkle Texture Paste through the Home Sweet Home stencil.

Finished with a little natural twine string ready to hang on the wall - or in my case ready to be packed away until my first Craft Fayre of the year in July.

Easter Bunnies

Good evening my lovely crafty friends.
Just thought I would pop by to share some projects I have been working on recently as I am 'home alone' - my DH is working away in Manchester but luckily only for the one day so home again tomorrow :o)

I recently bought some blank MDF Bunnies from The Wood Barn and found some blank MDF letters the same size in Hobbycraft and decided to make some special gifts for my adorable Grandchildren for Easter
So this is for my snuggalicious Ruby Mae
and this is for my scrummilicious Lola Arizona
and of course not forgetting my squidgilicious Grandson Oliver
I totally loved putting these together.

Hope you like them too.

Thanks for popping by.
Have a fab evening.

Wedding Cake Box for All Dressed Up

Good evening my lovely crafty friends.
Hope all my scrummy Mummy blogging friends had a lovely day yesterday and got totally spoilt.

I got some gorgeous gifts, cards and flowers but the best part of the day was spending time with those I love the most enjoying Afternoon Tea at a local hotel (very local as it's just at the bottom of the road hehehe) - will share some photos at the end of this post.

So the real reason I'm here is to share my DT inspiration for the new image release over at

and I got to play with the beautiful 'Wedding Cake' image and I thought it would be perfect to pop onto a tag and attach it to a cake slice style box

Special Lady at In the Pink

Good morning my lovely crafty friends.

Hope you are well and having  good week so far.

I've been keeping myself busy in my little crafty haven as my DH husband has been working away from home but he will be home later this evening and I can't wait to see him - I do miss him so when he is away - luckily he doesn't do it too often :o(

So today I have my DT make for the new challenge over at

to share with you and the theme this time is

SPECIAL LADY

With Mother's Day this Sunday I though it would be the perfect opportunity to make a card for my MiL - who I know has received it already and opened it too lol!!!!
I re-discovered this favourite floral stamp when I recently tidied up and re-organised my stamps and thought it was high time I re-inked it.
So I used a couple of co-ordinating inks and stamped the image a few time at various heights across a piece of white linen card then also stamped with Versamark and heat embossed with white EP.
Some simple mat and layering and a few punched flutterbys to finish it off together with a fabulous stamped sentiment.

Our wonderful sponsor this time is
offering 1 lucky winner £10 to spend in their online store.
