I Can Sing A Rainbow at Sweet Stampin'

Good morning my lovely crafty friends.
Hope you are well and those not I wish well soon.

Have you any nice plans for the weekend?
We are taking Jack to open his first proper bank account.

My DH took Jack at the beginning of half term and spent 2 hours traipsing round trying to find a branch that had a 'trained colleague' available - but not one branch of any of the High Street banks had any trained staff!!!

Then it t took just over 3 weeks to be able to get an appointment - what's that all about!!!!

Back in the day when I worked in banking peeps just walked in off the street and there was always someone available to open an account for them - if they had the right documentation with them.

Anyway rant over the real reason I'm here is to share the first of my DT makes for today and this one is for the new challenge over at

Gorgeous card Debs, really colourful and pretty. Hope you get your banking sorted, you'll just get it set up then he'll probably have to change all his accounts to different terms when he turns 18! Just been thru that with Colin. Santander was the best student account we found! Jx

This is stunning Debs, I love the butterflies and such a beautiful sentiment.
We had terrible trouble opening a bank account for our daughter before she started Uni, she didn't have a passport so we had to get her one just to open an account!
Thank you for the get well wishes
I hope you have a good weekend.

You're a busy girl today Debs, your card is beautiful, such a lovely verse and pretty butterflies.
We had that problem when we wanted to open an account for our eldest, must have struck lucky with the youngest - just walked through the door and saw someone straight away!

Love this card Debs and the saying was one of my Nan's favourites, she had a cross stitch sampler with it on. Such pretty butterflies and the sparkle looks lovely. I was a Personal Banker at Barclays for years and opening an account was done there and then!! Ooh them were the days...I'm not THAT old...honest!! xx

Ooh this is gorgeous Debs… such beautiful words! and the butterflies look awesome… love the pretty colours and sparkles! :-))
hope you get Jack's bank account sorted out... they don't seem to have any respect for young people starting out any more. They really messed up my daughter's bank account when she turned 18. We found out she had next to nothing as at some point they'd transferred it to pay off part of my Mum's loan!!!!! As my Mum was guarantor they just took it without asking... what a cheek!! we were so angry. Hope you find a good bank with good terms.
Have a lovely weekend!
Big hugs, Sue B xx

Hi Debs
My hubby had a similar problem trying to sort out his ISA. Empty interview rooms, staff standing around chatting but no one available to see him.
Anyhoo, your card is absolutely stunning. You should enter this at House of Cards. You have about 5 days to get it entered into this months butterfly challenge.
Have a great weekend.
