All this for 50p!!!

Good evening. I bought a few LOTV die-cut sheets when they had a special offer on them at just 50p each and just look at what I have created with 1 of them - and I still have 4 images left lol!!!
This first card is 8"x8" and I have made this for a work colleague that is getting married on Saturday.
I have added a touch of stickles to the dress.
Challenges I would like to enter this into are:

Totally Gorjuss - Congratulations
Friday Sketcher - Sketch (Flipped)
Create 4 Fun - Flowers

The second card is 6" x 6" - I simply mat & layered the die cut image. The DP's are MM Wedding
I have also made a matching money wallet with this card using one of the smaller die cut images.

I have used a scalloped edge card from Craftwork Cards for this last card.
This time I have followed the sketch at LOTV
I have also made a matching money wallet for this card too.

I would also like to enter the 'Love & Marriage' challenge at Pollycraft this week.

What wonderful value for money these are - even at full price they are still a bargain don't you think?
Hope you have had a wonderful day.
Thanks for popping over.

Funky Hand DT Call

Good evening.
There is a wonderful opportunity to join the fabulously talented Funky Hand DT - I would love to work with all these ladies - they are so inspirational and innovative with their designs.
Anice has asked to post about the opportunity and showcase 3 favourite cards - now that bit I find difficult as I am always so critical of my own work (as I know most of us are!!)
Anyways after much thought and changing my mind a dozen times (or more) I would like to showcase these 3 cards as 'some' of my favourites and to show different styles of work:

Well best publish this post before I change my mind again lol!!!
Wish me luck.
Thanks for popping over.

Sparkling Blue Tilda

Good morning. As per usual I have been up bright & early - even though we have now broke up for the summer jollies! Good thing about that this morning is I was up to see Aaron (my middle son) & Kerry his girlfriend arrive home in the wee small hours from their holibobs in Eygpt - following a 4 hour flight delay!!!

So what's a girl to do when she has some 'me' time on her hands and has to be as quiet as a mouse?
Well, of course she gets to work on putting a card together.

I was very lucky to be sent some gorgeous new Tilda images as a RAK from a very lovely blogging friend - thanks Mandy you're a star.
Here I have used the gorgeous Mermaid Tilda - coloured with Copics and a good sprinkling of Star Dust Stickles.
I have embossed a piece of silver mirri board with Cuttlebug Swirls and then lightly inked with alcohol inks to give a watery look.
I also added a touch of Tumbled Glass distress ink to the whole image after colouring - using a dabbing technique with a baby wipe - it gives a subtle colour effect.
I have distressed and glittered all the edges of the gorgeous Tim Holtz Vintage Shabby DP's
I used a Craftworks Card with a scalloped edge as I thought it would represent an oyster shell lol!!!
The gorgeous flowers are from WOC and I have added a touch of sparkle to them.

Challenges that this fits are:

Die Cut Dreams - Tilda in Blue
Crafty Catz - Summertime
Secret Crafter - Fairytales
Papertake Weekly - Cutie Patootie
Everybody Art - Blue & White

Thanks for popping over.
Have a wonderful day.

Just Magnolia - WEEK 64

Good morning. Well I have my tissues at the ready as today is Jack's leavers' assembly at school and I know I will cry! They had their leavers' party last night and everyone was sobbing - even the boys!! He goes to a small village primary school - 24 in his class and 20 of them have been together since playgroup so it is sad to think that they will all be goingtheir seperate ways in September. Luckily though for Jack he will be going to 'big' school with 2 of his best friends.
Today I would like to share  my card that I have made for the Just Magnolia challenge this week following Bev's gorgeous sketch.

I have used one of my favourite Tildas coloured with Copics. The DP is K&Co and although the coloured cardstock looks black in the photo - it is actually bottle green!!
Flowers are prima, buttons and ribbon from stash.
Quick post as I need to get ready - must remember the waterproof mascara lol!!
Have a wonderful day.

A couple to say goodbye & thank you.

Good morning. Today I would like to share a couple of things I have made to hold thank you gifts for Jack's teacher and teaching assistant.

I made a pillow box for his teacher - female

and a bottle tag (which will also hold a bar of chocolate) for his teaching assistant - male.

I found the tutorial for making one of these here
They are so simple - yet very effective - don't you think?

The pillow box has been made using some of my favourite TH Vintage Shabby DP. I cut an aperture and made a frame using my nesties. The 'acetate' has been recycled from the packet of Prima Flowers (seen on this project) that I bought yesterday. Image is from the Penny Black 'Wonderful Day' clear set - coloured with Copics.

The bottle tag ahs been made using textured
cardstock and a piece of K&Co spotty DP. The image is also from the Penny Black 'Wonderful Day' clear set - coloured with PM's this time.
A couple of Martha Stewart butterflies and that's it!

I would like to enter these into the following challenges:

Penny Black - Anything but a Card
Crafty Catz - Anything but a Card
Fairy Fun Fridays - For the Boys (the bottle tag)
Die Cut Dreams - Acetate (pillow box)

Thanks for popping by.
Enjoy your day.
