ABC Challenge 'L' for list

The challenge this week over at ABC Challenge is 'L' for list - a recipe challenge. The recipe was : 1 ribbon 3 flowers 6 brads This is my entry - I stamped the flower stamp using black Stazon ink onto frosted shrink plastic x 3, cut round the images and then shrunk with a heat gun. I coloured a strip of white card using the direct to paper technique with a Brilliance dew drop ink pad in Silver and coloured the edges with black. I matted a narrower strip of black card with the edges inked in silver and then another strip of white card inked with silver. I stuck the 3 shrink plastic flower images onto this mat using Glossy Accents. I attached the 6 brads and then stuck the whole mat onto a white base card covered with black & white paisley backing paper and finished with white organza ribbon tied at the spine in a bow. I really enjoyed making this card using all the different techniques. Hope you like it. Debs xx

Lovely Blog Awards

The lovely Liz over at draytonatcswaps.blogspot.com has very kindly given me a 'lovely blog' award - thank you so much Liz. Now, I know I'm a newbie to this but I believe that i now have to pass this award onto 15 other peeps, so today I shall be blog hopping if I get the chance to determine who the lucky 15 will be - watch this space lol!!! I also have been given the same award from the wonderful Jude from crafts-international.blogspot.com and I would also like to thank Jude for this lovely award. Oh my goodness - does that mean I have to find another 15 peeps - I won't have time to do any work for blog hopping lol!!! Anyway, talking of work, I guess I should consider starting to make a move to get ready to go. Will be back later I'm sure! Have a great day - whatever you are doing. Debs xxxx

ABC Challenge - 'Keep it Simple'

The ABC Challenge this week is 'K' for 'keep it simple' This is my entry - I simply stamped the rose image and coloured with Whispers pens and then chalked over the whole image. I haven't added any other embellishments in keeping with the brief. Your thoughts on this would be very welcome. Thanks for poping by. Debs xx

Stampin Chic - Colour Challenge #3

Good Afternoon Just a quickie today (for now) as my hubby got me a new toy - a Bind it All (it's an early birthday present) and I feel the need to have a good play with it lol! This is my entry for the Stampin Chic Colour Challenge #3 The colours to use were turquoise & yellow!!! I have covered a chipboard flower shape with paper from CCSR which has also been used in the background. I then inked a triple embossed a chipboard swirl shape as a stem and 2 chipboard leaf shapes. These have been matted onto yellow card and the edges have been inked with turquoise. I didn't have a turquoise button, but I really wanted to put one in the centre of the flower so I inked up a button I had in my stash!! To finish I have tied a yellow grosgrain ribbon around the bottom and added a few Papermania self adhesive pearls in turquoise. Hope you like it. Thanks for popping by. Enjoy the rest of your day. Pink Elephant Challenge #11

This week one of the options for the challenge was 'Don't throw that away (recycle, reuse) so I thought that these would fit just perfect!! At the weekend I purchased some 'Me to You' file dividers and in the packaging was a sheet showing the pictures on each divider: So I thought I would recycle and make each image a topper for a card and came up with these 5 cards from 1 packaging sheet:

One topper - 2 cards

Good morning everyone Made these two cards yesterday. Although the toppers are the same the cards are so totally different. The images were downloaded from http://www.crafts-at-country-graphics.co.uk/ pop over and take a look. Then I made another monochrome card And finally had a go at some dry embossing - love dragonflys nearly as much as butterflies!! Well must go do some hw (didn't say the whole word so it doesn't count as proper swearing) so that I can then do some guilt free crafting lol! Have a great Sunday whatever you are doing. Take care Debs xx
