Another Festive Home Decor Make

Good morning my lovely crafty friends.
Hope you are ready for a wonderful weekend whatever you have planned.
Not too sure what we are doing - but there will definitely be a walk involved and obviously some time will be spent in my little crafty haven - hopefully playing with some new stash that I am expecting to be delivered this morning :o)

Thank you for all the lovely comments on my Sleigh project yesterday both here and on FB.
As promised I have another Festive Home Decor make to share with you today and again I thoroughly enjoyed putting it together:

So here's what I did:

I started by painting the MDF Noel plaque from Anna Marie Designs with Indigo Blu 'Grandma's Teacup' acrylic paint  and when it was dry I dry brushed some white Gesso over the top.
Sentiment stamped with Perfect Medium and heat embossed with True White EP and then inked over the top with Chipped Sapphire Distress Ink and mat and layered onto Joy Crafts Frame Die - cut from Rainbow mirri card
Tim Holtz Tattered Poinsettia die cut from AMD Shabby Vintage card and inked with Chipped Sapphire DI - Pearl Button from The Hobby House
Flowers from AMD
Pearl Spray from stash

Again I think I might need to make some of these from the Christmas Craft Fayres coming up.

Thanks for calling in to see me today and for all your continued support.
Have a wonderful day.

Festive Home Decor

Good morning my lovely crafty friends.
Hope you are well and had a wonderful week and are ready for a fabulous weekend ahead.
Jack will be continuing his birthday celebrations with his friends tomorrow - a group of 'couples' are going for a meal at Nando's - no parents allowed - we will just be providing the funds and the taxi service lol!!! No more jelly and ice cream parties here then!!!

Today I have no DT makes to share with you so I thought I would take the opportunity to share one of the Festive Home Decor items I have made ready for the 4 Christmas Craft Fayres I have booked in November.

Here's what I did:

I started by painting the Anna Marie Design 'Sleigh' with Chalk Paint and then when it was dry I stamped the flourish all over using Perfect Medium and dusted with Copper Mica Powder - which is really sparkly when the light hits it - you can just about see it in the top photo in the top left corner of the sleigh :o)
I then inked the edges with Walnut Stain Distress Ink and also inked the uber cute AMD Reindeers with the same DI
Raffia, pearl sprays, snowflake charm all from stash
Mini Snowballs and Pine Cone and Gold Berries - AMD
This Way for Christmas Stamp - AMD

I absolutely loved putting this together and think I will definitely need to get some more sleighs to play with :o)

I will have another Festive Make to share with you tomorrow :o)

Before I go I would just like to share some fabulous photos of my adorable Grandchildren
starting with my snuggalicious Granddaughter Ruby Mae's first 'selfie' taken on her Daddy's phone lol!!

Then my squidgilicious Grandson Oliver feeding the ducks and swans with Granddad:

And my scrummilicious Granddaughter Lola Arizona dressed up for her trip to Euro Disney to celebrate her Mummy's 30th Birthday

I know I always say it but I am truly blessed with such a beautiful family - beautiful inside and out.

Thanks for you friendship and support.
Have a wonderful day.

OMG Jack is 16!!!

Good morning my lovely crafty friends.
Usually at this time on a Wednesday morning I would be busy 'playing' with my squidgilicious Grandson Oliver but his Mummy is at home today.

He will be coming later though as all the family will be here to celebrate Jack's 16th birthday today!!!

I can hardly believe it was 16 years ago today that we were blessed with such a gorgeous bundle of joy - looking back at photos of Jack when he was a baby/toddler/infant he was always so happy and smiling. Not so much as he hit the teens lol!!!
But he did have a smile on his face this morning when he opened his gifts whilst eating his favourite breakfast - pancakes with lemon and sugar :o)

So today I would like to share a couple of cards I made for the birthday boy

Love this Mo Manning image and as Jack rarely has his iPhone or iPad out of his hands it is just perfect for him!!!

And so is the next set of stamps I used on this card

Right I best get on - busy day ahead - got to do some HW and then Pilates much earlier than usually before picking the birthday boy up from school and then a scrummy family tea.

Hopefully I'll catch up with you all soon.

Thanks for calling by today.
Have a fabulous day.

A Gilded Snowflake Bauble

Good morning my lovely crafty friends.
Hope you are having a wonderful weekend.

Today I have a few achy muscles following a 6 mile walk I did with my DH yesterday - but I did thoroughly enjoy it :o)
All this walking is definitely helping with my continued weight loss - I have now lost a total of 24lbs since the start of June - I even managed to lose a couple of pounds on holiday - that was definitely down to the walking down the mountain and back up nearly every day :o)
We are hoping to start some of the Cotswold Way walks within the next few weeks - so I have been treated to some 'proper' walking clothes - they cost a small fortune - I know how much stash I could have bought instead but I guess scrummy papers and stamps wouldn't be very effective in keeping me warm and dry - unless I stayed inside playing with them lol!!!

So as time was a little shorter than usual I have a very quick and simple little crafty inspiration today using a few items from the fabulous

Here's a little Christmas Bauble using a gorgeous new

I covered a chipboard bauble shape using the gorgeous First Edition 'Nordic Christmas' Design Papers and added a touch of Gesso and Distress ink to the edges.
I inked the scrummy WRS 'Lacy Snowflake' die using VersaMark  and then heat embossed with Stamp n Bond - this becomes sticky and then I covered it with Gilding Flakes.
Before adhering to the centre of the chipboard bauble I added a Pearl Brad to the centre of the gilded snowflake.
Finishing off with a length of Cream Vintage Style Ribbon to hang it up :o)

Nice and simples!!!

Hope you like my wee Festive Make.

Thanks for popping by to see me today and for all the lovely comments left recently.

Enjoy the rest of the weekend.
