Take Your Pick at Papertake Weekly

Good morning my lovely crafty friends.

Ooopps I am a day late with my DT share for the new challenge over at

but as they say 'better late than never'!!!!

Seriously though - huge apologies (again) to my DT buddies and my lovely followers - life is just sooooooo busy at the moment but there is light at the end of the tunnel with lots being crossed off the mahoooosive 'To Do' list.

So as it's the last Tuesday Wednesday of the month that means we have our fabulous theme of

TAKE YOUR PICK

So lots of options:
Sketch #103 or any other PTW sketch
Colour Theme: Blue or Green (or both)
Technique Theme: Use or make a tag
Product Theme: Use Lace either real or punched, die etc

I went for sketch #103, lace and made a tag and here's what I came up with:

Card Ingredients:
Design Papers: LOTV 'Romance and Roses'
Lace and Ribbon from stash
Large Pearl Medallion from the Hobby House
Embossalicious Regency Swirl Embossing Folder
Martha Stewart Scrolled Lace Border Punch

Please pop over to the main challenge blog to check out the gorgeous inspiration from my DT buddies.

Before I go here's a couple of things I have been up to this week:

I made a start on painting the fence:

One side down and two more to go!!!

Then I had a little sleepover guest on Saturday evening:

Just as well we have a Super Kingsize bed hahaha!!!!

I'll be back tomorrow with my Sugar Nellie DT share and some Hobby House samples made for the Create and Craft show on air tomorrow at 11:00

We're Seeing Stars at In The Pink

Good morning my lovely crafty friends.
Hope you are well and having a great week so far.

Today I have my last DT make for

to share with you (sniff sniff)

But before I do I would just like to take the opportunity to thank Christine and the Pink Ladies for giving me the opportunity to 'work' alongside such an amazingly talented bunch of lovely ladies - it has been a blast!!!!

So the theme for this fortnight's challenge is

STARRY STARRY PINK

I went for a REALLY CAS design

And here's how I did it:

I started by punching the 3 stars out of the white card and then embossed it with a snowflake embossing folder and randomly heat embossed some Shabby Pink Frantage
Then I covered some Pink card with a double sided adhesive sheet and covered that with Creative Expressions Glitter Jewels, Stampendous Glitter and some Glamour Dust - it is super sparkilicious IRL :o)
I then mat and layered the star cut out card onto the pink sparkly card added a few punched snowflakes with adhesive pearls and a sparkly Christmas sentiment - and there is another 'flatish' card ready for the Festive Season.

Please pop over to the main challenge blog to check out the stunning Pink Inspiration from my lovely DT buddies.

Thanks for popping by to see me today and for all your wonderful support.

I'm hoping the weather improves as Jack is going to his first ever Music Festival tomorrow until Monday. I dread to think what he will come back looking like - he doesn't plan on washing - his words when I said take a towel 'I won't need one - nobody washes at a Festival Mum'

Have a fabulous day.

Build it Up at Papertake Weekly

Good afternoon my lovely crafty friends.

I can hardly believe it's been a whole week since I last posted but I am still keeping busy with lots on the go but feeling so much more in control since my decision to step down from most of my DT's.

So today sees the start of a new challenge over at

and this week the lovely Dawny has given us the theme

BUILD IT UP

I thought that would be the perfect opportunity to use one of my many neglected Hunkydory layered images - and as a bonus I also need to make a few male birthday cards for my MiL

So here's what I did:
Image: Hunkydory For Men Card Making Kit
Mat and Layers: Gold Mirror Card, Blue Card and Blue Spotty Design Paper
Die Cut: Spellbinders Triple Tear

Please pop over to the main challenge blog to check out the fabulous inspiration from my DT buddies  - you won't be disappointed.

Our wonderful sponsor this week is:
offering 1 lucky winner:

Before I leave you I would just like to let you know that my latest Papercraft Inspirations commissions are featured in the new issue - in the shops today.
And two of my New Baby cards made front cover :o)
Other news is I have just signed up to a 6 week beginner's running and boot camp course - starting at the beginning of August - yikes!!!!!!
I am sooooooo determined to get fit, lose weight and look good for Jamie and Rowena's wedding - and I only have just over 9 weeks to do it in!!!!
Wish me luck!!!

Thanks for popping by to see me today and for all the lovely comments wishing me well on my last post - they really did mean a lot.

Have a fabulous day - enjoy the sunshine if you have any.

My post title said I have some news to share so here it is:

Whilst on holiday I had time to think about what I wanted to do with regards to my blogging and DT commitments and after much deliberation I made the tough decision to step down from most of the fabulous Design Teams I have had the honour to create for over the past few years.
My heart and soul just hasn't been in it for a little while now - maybe because I have had and still do have so much to do - especially for my eldest Son's wedding in just over 10 weeks time - but also the fabulous opportunity I have had recently creating for Papercraft Inspirations - for which I am so grateful.
I have been blogging for just over 6 years and feel the enthusiasm isn't the same as it was when I started - so I thought if I took the pressure off with DT work that it might return.
I will still be creating for Papertake Weekly - one of my most favourite challenge blogs from the start and also Sugar Nellie who I have very recently just joined.
So you will still see me around and I will definitely have more time to come and visit you all too.

I have made some fabulous friends on the Design Teams I have created for and I hope we can stay in touch - thank you all for your support and understanding.

So on a brighter note here are a few of my favourite holiday snaps from our recent very relaxing break:

A pool with a view!!

My gorgeous hubby :o)

Two loves of my life.

My brother and his partner also on holiday so close to us we were able to meet up for dinner one evening.

A re-creation of a photo taken last year - see next photo
How much have we all changed!!!!

Love this :o)

Two best friends - with co-ordinating T-Shirts lol!!!

Hope I haven't bored you all too much!!!

Thank you for popping by to see me - hoping to start playing catch up with my visits later today.
Have a fabulous day.

Shabby Chic or Vintage at In the Pink with Anything Goes at The Sugar Bowl

Good morning my lovely crafty friends.

A super quick post from me this morning as my squidgilicious Grandson Oliver is on his way to play.

This will be one of the last play days we have before the summer holidays when Mum breaks up from   work (she works in a nursery attached to a school so has all the school holidays off) and then he starts school in September - I can hardly believe how quick the years have flown by!!!

Speaking of which I have some photos of my very handsome youngest son Jack ready to party at his school Prom last night to share with you - it only seems like yesterday I shared a photo of him dressed up in his school uniform when he started secondary school 5 years ago!!!

But before that I have my 'joint' DT make to share with you for

where the theme this fortnight is

SHABBY CHIC OR VINTAGE
(but don't forget to make it PINK)

and

Trio-Tastic at Papertake Weekly

Good afternoon my lovely crafty friends.

Hope you had a wonderful weekend and a great start to the week.

Yesterday we had some new beds delivered - a small double for Jack and a MAHOOOOSIVE Super King size for me and my DH.  I was quite sure they said they would build both beds but when they got here they said they only build Divan beds and as ours was a leather bed frame they couldn't/wouldn't do it so that meant we had to do it ourselves!!!

So after just over 4 hours of 'fairly calm' building I was soooooo ready for a good night's sleep in our monster of a bed!!!!

Of course all that meant I had no time to have a play in my little crafty haven so I had to get my DT make for the new challenge over at

made super quick this morning so I decided to make use of the gorgeous Crafter's Companion Kimono CD-Rom again and here's what I came up with for the theme

TRIO-TASTIC

Love the images and colours on this CD and the toppers make for a super easy and super quick card.
I simply added some ribbon, ric rac and a heart charm tied on with some button twine and finished with my trio of butterflies.

Please pop over to the main challenge blog to check out the fabulous inspiration from my DT buddies.

Hope to play catch up with you whilst lazing in front of the TV this evening :o)
