Birthday Buttons

Good morning my lovely crafty friends.

Thank you for all the kind and supportive comments on my Papercraft Inspirations sneaky peeks post. I really do appreciate you taking the time to visit and leave comments - we all have busy lives and don't always get the time to stop and say thank you.

So as promised I am back to share the full details:

Here's how they look in the magazine- they are in the Cards for All Occasions section and my brief was 'Birthday Cards Incorporating Buttons'

And here they are individually:

I'm off to have some blood tests this morning and then off to visit my cousin for a nice cup of tea and a good old catch up.

Hope you have a fabulous day - whatever you are doing.

Hope you had a wonderful weekend and a good start to the week.

I really do hope it picks up for the Easter Weekend though as I am planning an Easter Egg Hunt on the Green outside our house for my adorable Grandchildren on Sunday - so fingers crossed :o)

Good morning my lovely crafty friends.
I have two DT makes to share with you today and my first is for the new challenge over at

A GEM OF A CHALLENGE

and this week our very lovely Sue has picked the theme

ANYTHING BUT SQUARE

I thought it was about time I made another circle card as I haven't done one in ages and this is what I came up with:

I created the background by stamping the Easter Egg image with Perfect Medium and then heat embossed with True White Embossing Powder before inking with Distress Inks - the heat embossing acts as a resist :o)

Image: Pink Gem Designs 'Jodie with Easter Egg'
Colouring Medium: Copics
Spellbinders: Lacey Circles - Embossed with Darice Flower embossing folder and inked with Distress Ink
Card Base: Spellbinders 'Grand Decorative Circles'
Sentiment: Pink Petticoat

As always the lovely Janet is offering 1 lucky winner:

2 Individual Digi images
(NO SETS, PERSONALISED WATERMARK'S OR SENTIMENT SETS)
of the winners choice from PINKGEM DESIGNS.....

In the Wild at MAWTT

Good morning my lovely crafty friends.
Super quick post from me today as my squidgilicious Grandson Oliver is here to play - I really must remember to schedule my posts in the evening but by the time I have finished tea and had a little bloggy catch up all I want to do is watch a bit of telly and then go to bed!!!!

Anyway I'm here to share my DT make for the new challenge over at

MOVING ALONG WITH THE TIMES

and this week our lovely Hazel L has picked the theme

IN THE WILD

I thought that would be the perfect excuse to use the gorgeous freebie stamps with last month's Quick Cards Made Easy - aren't they just fabulous?

So I created an inky background using some torn paper and Distress Inks and then stamped the images using Black Aidrondack ink. A mat and layered stamped sentiment and a few black enamel dots to finish it off.

Please pop over to the main challenge blog for full details of the theme and to see the gorgeous inspiration from my DT buddies.

Challenges I would like to enter:

TBA

Thanks for calling by today.
Catch you all later this evening.

A Cut Above at Papertake Weekly

Good afternoon my lovely crafty friends.
Hope you are well and those not I wish well soon.

I had a fabulous trip to the NEC on Saturday and it was great to spend some time with my lovely blogging buddy and bestest friend Claire.
It was also lovely to see our Dawny and have a chat and then of course spend some pennies :o)

So today I'm here to share my DT make for the new challenge over at

PAPERTAKE WEEKLY

and this week our lovely Dawny has picked the theme

A CUT ABOVE

So basically we would lke to see die cuts, fussy cutting, punches etc

I had a lovely playtime with some of my scrummy NEC stash and here's what I came up with

Oooh I had sooooo much fun putting this together :o)

I started by painting the bargain priced - just £1.00 - paper mache frame with Gesso and then when dry I added a layer of Crackle Medium from AMD. When this had also dried I repainted with AMD Chalky Paint in Primitive
You can just about see the  very subtle crackle effect in the close up photos.

Tonic Studio Frond Finesse Swirls
Inkylicious Stamp 'I Care'
Heartfelt Creations Delghtful Daisy Stamps and Die Set
