Flower Power at In the Pink

Good morning my lovely crafty friends.

Hope all are well and those not I wish well soon.

I'm hoping this post is written and published ok as I have had to do it on my iPad because my MacBook is poorly and won't start up so I'm on my way to take it to be fixed later this morning - wish me luck they can do something without me losing all my files!!!

So today sees the start of a new challenge over at

and this time the theme is

but don't forget it must be mainly PINK

Such a perfect theme for me to make a special card for my niece who will be celebrating her 30th Birthday today - so here's what I did:

As I am trying to keep this post short but sweet I will update what I used and how I did it at a later date.

However, I am more that happy to reply to anyone by email that would like the information sooner - just drop my an email to:

Please do pop over to the main challenge blog to check out the gorgeous inspiration from my lovely DT buddies.

Thanks for popping by and for any lovely comments you may leave.

Ribbon & Lace with Pink for In The Pink

Good morning my lovely crafty friends.

It has been so long since I last popped something on my blog and those that are my friends on FB will know the reason - sadly my Dad passed away 4 weeks ago yesterday whilst I was on my holiday (and also on my Wedding Anniversary) - to say I was devastated and somewhat broken would be an understatement.

However, on Sunday 11 September we held a Memorial Day for my Dad and although it was unbelievably emotional it was also heartwarming to share fondest memories with close family members and honour my Dad with his favourite takeaway - a chinese.
Just now I feel a sense of peace although another emotional weekend is planned when we take Dad's ashes back to our hometown of Belfast to scatter them over a playing field he loved to play cricket on as a boy - returning on his birthday 17 October.

I have been trying to 'carry on' with life as normal and felt it was time to rejoin my fabulous supportive teamies from

so today I would like to share my DT make for the new challenge following the theme

Card Ingredients:

Design Papers: What a Hoot

Bright Happy Wishes for My Mum's Craft Shop

Good morning my lovely crafty friends.
Hope you are well and had a wonderful weekend.

Mine was another busy one - on Saturday I had my second Docrafts Demo Days - this time at The Range in Cheltenham - I had a lovely day - made even more special when I got a surprise visit from the lovely Sam - aka Whispers Cards - it was soooooo lovely to eventually get to meet you in person.

Then yesterday I had to empty all the kitchen cupboards and drawers - and find a temporary home for everything that was in them - as my kitchen is undergoing a makeover this week - I don't deal with disruption well so I think the best place for me this week will be in my little crafty haven - which is just as well as I have a magazine commission to finish and then I need to prep for two upcoming Hobby House shows on Create and Craft this weekend!!!

But I am giving myself the morning (at least) off on Tuesday as I have planned to catch up with my lovely blogging friends Kat and Sue over coffee and cake at the amazing Lavender Bakehouse - I can hardly wait!!!!

Anyway the real reason I'm here is to share my DT make for

and once again I have used the fabulous

but this time I have gone MUCH MUCH brighter than the last card I made lol!!!!

Other items used:

'Happy Wishes' WPlus9 Die
Anna Griffin Embossing folder
Star Dust Stickles

Thanks for popping by.
Have a fabulous day.

It's Time for Rubber at In the Pink

Good morning my lovely crafty friends - hope you are managing to stay cool in this fabulous water we are having in the UK at the moment.
I know some of you don't like it but I love it and hope it lasts a little longer.
Although a cool breeze wouldn't go amiss!!!

Anyway I'm about to get packed and head off to Peterborough for another Hobby House show on Create and Craft but before I do I would just like to share my DT make for the new challenge over at

and this time we would like you to

So any stamped image on your project and remember to make the main colour pink

I had a play with one of my very neglected but old-time favourite rubber flourish corner stamp and an adorable cute fluttery stamp and here's what I came up with

I started with creating the background using Picked Raspberry, Spun Sugar and Victorian Velvet Distress Inks that i spritzed with some Goosebumps - this gave it a sparkly texture - not captured very well on the photos :(
Then I swooshed it onto watercolour card and dried it with my heat gun before stamping the fabulous flourish in the corners using Versamark and heat embossed with White EP.

I stamped the butterflies onto vellum and heat embossed with a sparkly EP then fussy cut.

I die cut the frame using a Spellbinders die and raised it with some foam tape over a strip of vellum I placed across the inked and stamped panel.

Finished it off with a die cut sentiment.

Our sponsor this time is
offering 1 lucky winner £10 to spend in their online store.

Thanks for popping by to see me and for all your continued support.

Have a fabulous day.
Stay cool.

A little piece of Doodlebug 'Sugar Shoppe' DP and an Altenew 'Painted Greetings' sentiment with a few sequins and pearls to finish it off.
